Dear future host family,
My name is Jonas, I'm 25 years old (will be 26 on Aug. 16). I live with my mom, my older brother and a sweet little puppy in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I grew up with great family values and we have open communication at home about literally everything.
I would love to become your next au pair because I love being with kids and spending time with them. The idea and opportunity of being a little bit family, a little bit teacher and a little bit best bro friend for the kids warm my heart and I think that's the real purpose of children. I had a lot of experiences before as a nanny, as a surfing coach (yes, I can surf!) for kids and teenagers, and as a pool lifeguard (I always used to get with the kids so the parents could really chill, lol). I'm sure I'm prepared and well aware that being the big brother to your children comes with great responsabilities. That's why I've got great powers.
I'm calm and pacient, and it helps me to master more difficult situations. I'm also a caring and loving person, with great cooking skills. Super energetic, creative, and always ready to run around with the kids and have a great time together. Also, I'm a strong driver, I've being driving everyday since my license was issued.
I love cooking, reading, singing, listening to music, watching movies, going out for dinner or just for a walk in the park. I also love plants, the nature itself, the moon, arts, sunsets and sincere hugs.
My native language is Portuguese, but I also speak English with intermediate/advanced proficiency level. I know basic speaking of Spanish and I'm learning French too.
