Hi, my name is Jéssica but you can call me Jessie! I'm 25 years old and I currently live in Nova lguaçu, a beautiful city in the state of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, with my mother, stepfather and brother. I also have a sister who is 1 year older than me, who no longer live with us as she is married and has a beautiful daughter, Elisa, who is 5 years old. My story with Au Pair started long before I filled this application. Since my adolescence I have always stood out in caring for children, working as a nanny and even leading them in games at children's parties in the neighborhood. Feeling comfortable around the kids was never a problem. My last ward, Samuel, was just 1 year old when he came to me and is now a 8-year-old little boy. We spent approximately 8 hours a day together and in that time I saw him take his first steps, speak his first words, I taught him how to use the potty and how to eat by himself. To this day, we have such a close relationship that he is already a part of my family, even going on trips with us. Knowing that I was a part of a child's formative years and that I offered the best I could in teaching and care, is an inexplicable feeling. This passion grew after I entered the university for the pedagogy course at 18 years of age. There I improved my knowledge with theories, I learned and acquired new ways of dealing with, teaching and understanding all children and I used this knowledge to help the children in my community for 2 years as a teacher at the Public School. It was one of the best experiences of my life!! The daily contact with creativity, tenacity and child development made me realize that I needed more. So I saw in Au Pair the opportunity to expand my skills. Being an Au pair with a good family has been a dream for me. Especially since I realised I was good with children and that I share a passion for it. It also satisfies my interests of travel and experiencing new places, cultures and languages. I believe my experience with kids and as a teacher can help me help your kids more. I am looking forward to a mutually rewarding and enriching experience during my stay with you.
