Hello! My name is Léa, I am 22 years old (soon to be 23), and I am currently in Australia for a year of backpacking. I would like to become an au pair for a month in order to improve my English, meet new people, discover Australian culture, and have an enriching human experience.
I have several years of experience with children: I was a leader in a youth movement for three years, where I looked after children aged 3 to 8. I also babysat when I was younger and often helped my cousin, especially with his homework. I have always enjoyed being around children because I like to suggest activities, bond with them, and be part of their daily lives.
I am a very cheerful, outgoing, organized person who is always up for discovering or doing something new. With children, I enjoy cooking (especially baking!), playing sports, organizing outings, playing board games, or simply spending quality time with them. I prefer children who are “not too young but not too old either,” because that's when I feel most natural and comfortable.
In a family, I would like to find a balance: to be integrated and share moments together, while also having my independence to fully enjoy my experience in Australia. I am available immediately for a period of one month. I would also like to mention that I am traveling with my boyfriend. He does not wish to be an au pair and is looking for a full-time job, so we are looking for a family that is open to welcoming us both (I am, of course, the only one involved in au pair duties). We are respectful, organized, and enjoy routines, while also liking to have time to ourselves.
