Hello there host family!

My name is Grace and I am a student from the United States. I am excited to introduce myself to prospective families as an experienced childcare worker with a deep passion for teaching!

With my background as a Swim Instructor and Camp Counselor, I have had the privelage of working with children of multiple different age groups providing me with a variety of knowledge. These jobs have taught me how to create fun and engaging activities to help with educational purposes as well as equipped me with life-saving skills to ensure your child’s well being.

My time as a Swim Instructor showed me how to instill confidence within children in the water, as well as taught me patience, clear communication skills, and adaptability. My time as a Camp Counselor has honed my leadership and supervision skills, as I would be in charge of multiple children throughout the day. I would watch them during a range of activities, such as sports, crafts, tutoring, and outside exploration. This role allowed for me to grow in skills such as attentiveness, creativity, and time management.

The bonds I formed with my students and campers further fostered my love of taking care of children. I’ve found these roles incredibly rewarding, as I’ve become fulfilled through fostering supportive environments for children. As well as childcare, I can provide assistance and making sure your home runs smoothly, whether it through daily’s tasks such as cooking and housekeeping as well as homework assistance.
