Introduction
Hello! My name is Kat and I’m from America! I started working with children when I was 16, starting at an orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. When I went back to the States, I began working at daycares and preschools. I have worked with all age groups starting at infants that are just a few weeks old, to preschool and all the way up to elementary. As I grew more as a teacher, I started experimenting with different teaching philosophies like Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio on top of my elementary degree. I also have experience teaching in different countries like Kenya, Vietnam, and Thailand for several years. While living in Washington, I began working as an elementary Montessori school teacher for a kindergarten-1st grade classroom. I love children of all ages and love creating different activities for them to learn. I aspire to create a healthy and positive environment for each and every child.
