Hello families!

My name is Melat I’m from North Carolina, USA and I attend the George Washington University where I study International Affairs and Religion. I have experience with kids for all my life but began babysitting more regularly and independently at 13. I have experience with multiples up to five kids, and with any age range from 4 months to 12 years.

Currently, I am the nanny to two wonderful families! I am the current Sunday School director at my church alongside the 6-8 age group class teacher. And have volunteered at my church’s VBS every year since I was in sixth grade! I was a swim instructor at Aqua-Tots for a year and a half and have experienced with ages from 4 months-12 years. I also was a SNAP certified instructor as I was one the instructors who specialized with working with children with special needs.

I also worked at my local gyms Kids Club Center and have experience with all ages there. I have been nannying during the school year and summers for almost 3 years now and I am comfortable with doing chores such as light housework, laundry, and other miscellaneous tasks.
(I also LOVE organization projects and would absolutely be thrilled to help declutter or organize anything as well)

I love playing sports like basketball, futbol, volleyball and gymnastics as I played all these sports growing up. I always enjoy watching futbol, (my favorite team is F.C. Barcelona!) I also enjoy reading as last year I read 100 books, I love to go on walks enjoy nature, shop, and just relax watching a movie or show!

I am CPR certified and have taken extensive home economic classes. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, Amharic, and proficient in Spanish as well. I can provide references if wanted and I hope to be speaking with you soon!
