Hello! My name is Gia, and I am a Musical Theatre and Directing student at Marymount Manhattan College who is currently in a gap year and desperate to see the world! I have over 10 years of childcare experience, including 3+ as a Mother's Helper, 6+ years of babysitting, and 2+ years of nannying for various families. I have worked with a wide variety of different age groups, ranging from newborn to age 12!
In addition to my babysitting/mother's helper/nanny experience, I also have years of experience working in a Montessori classroom, and was raised with the Montessori method. I come from a family of teachers who instilled in me a love for children, childhood development, and caring for others from a young age:) As a childcare worker, I try to not only entertain and care for the children I am watching, but stimulate their growth, development, and independence as little humans as well!:) I am dependable, responsible, energetic, creative, and kind. I am excellent at sticking to a child's routine, as well as connecting on their level! I am very adventurous, and love helping children discover the world around them through activities both inside and outside of the home!
I am experienced in housekeeping, and do not mind light housekeeping duties such as meal/snack preparation, laundry, dishes, etc. I have experience with children who are not yet potty trained (still in diapers) as well as children who are working on potting training!
I have been involved in the Performing Arts for over 10 years, and my experience in theatre has allowed me to develop strong communication, imagination, and social skills that I implement in my approach to childcare. I chose childcare because I have a genuine love for children, learning, growth, play, and caring for others.
Additionally, I am CPR and First Aid certified, and can show proof of certification. I can also provide a resume, additional references, and proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations.
