My name is Brittney and I am from Los Angeles, California, USA! I originally was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where I first discovered my passion for serving and being with kids, especially those with special needs. I found that these little humans taught me so much more than I could ever teach them!

I graduated University in 2022 with a Bachelors in Nursing and have officially become a Registered Nurse! I originally wanted to become a pediatric Emergency Room nurse as I love to serve others, especially the pediatric population, but after much prayer and thought, I decided that God is calling me to pursue traveling abroad at this time in my life.

I am currently an aupair in Milan,Italy and have been here since March and will be leaving mid-November due to my visa ending. This experience has been amazing and am looking to continue it in Japan!

I have an extensive background with kids, especially those with disabilties. Over the past 9 years, I have discovered a passion for being with those with special needs, who have become a part of the reason why I pursued a career in nursing. From nannying for countless families to volunteering for numerous kid organizations to working at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge that has helped me better understand how to care for a child's unique needs. It is through my experience working in the hospital, through working with over 10+ families, and through my passion for service and others, where I believe I have a natural instinct to care for others and establish a connection with a child, one that is patient, loving, and understanding.

A little bit more about me is that I was a ballet dancer for 15 years and also sought out other hobbies such as photography and design. While I no longer dance, I have continued to carry my creative side with me, whether it is doing photography or managing a side business, or doing my own interior design projects, I am always finding joy through creating. A few other things I love are boxing, training in the gym, crafts, traveling, food, exploring new cities, trying new things, and learning about other cultures!

I am someone who values open and strong communication with both the parents and the kids and am someone who thrives on establishing a personal connection with each family I become a part of. Because I view my caregiving role as an opportunity to help serve a family in any way I can, I am someone who seeks to go above and beyond to meet and exceed the needs of each family. I would love to find a family who is not only looking for some help in their home, but to welcome me as a part of their family and would love to travel a lot with them!
