Hi there! My name is Emily and I am interested in becoming an Au Pair in Europe this summer (summer 2026, June and July). I am currently in my third year of college at College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, where I am playing soccer and am studying elementary education. I absolutely love being around kids and think that we as adults can learn so much about the world through spending time with children. I have ample experience working with young children; For all four summers in high school, I worked at a day camp where I worked with children ages 4-8 years old. This included working with children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and other disabilities. I have also worked as a long term sub for the past two summers when I am home from college. I worked in the resource room with 4th and 5th grade students (9-11 years old) who had various disabilities and needed extra help on their schoolwork. I also currently work at a church here in Grand Rapids every Sunday as a Sunday school teacher. Finally, I have ample babysitting experience working with all ages of children. Overall, I adore working with children and would love to meet yours! A bit about me: I am 20 years old and will be 21 when I plan to be an Au Pair. In my free time, I love to workout, run, read, play soccer, hike, cook, and travel. I want to become an Au Pair because I love to explore new places and new cultures. Becoming an Au Pair would allow me to have the ultimate experience of immersing myself into a new culture, as I would be living like a local.
