Hello! I am a 30 year old experienced nanny with 7 years of experience – nannying over 20 children. My most recent nanny job was in Florida watching a 3 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. I took the the boy on bike rides, to the park, swimming at the pool, and accompanied the family for beach trips. I watched the kids while the parents were away on vacation and drove them to and from school and after-school activities. This was one of my favorite experiences and I regularly keep in touch with the family.
Before this job I had spent a year in Sri Lanka and I was a nanny for 3 boys: twins at 20 months and a 4 year old boy who has Down Syndrome. This was an awesome experience in a new culture. The boys were so much fun and it was amazing to see them begin to communicate and their personalities emerge.
I was a nanny to an 8 year old boy in NJ for almost 2 years. I taught him Spanish and piano. We went on lots of bike rides, took the dog for walks, and played different sports outside. With being a nanny, I also did the housekeeping, errands, dog walking, cooking, laundry, and driving for them. I have also babysat during birthday parties where there were 6 children and helped out with a summer riding camp with 9 children. I was able to visit him last fall and it was awesome to see how much he had changed and the person he grew up to be!
I was also a nanny for two girls ages 6 and 8 in California. This job was less involved compared to my NJ job but I still cooked, cleaned, tutored, and did some accounting. I also babysat a 17 month old boy and girl for two different families. The girl I watched the majority of my day and about 30 hours per week. The boy I watched just on Fridays for about 7 hours. I did housework for both families and walked the dog for the family of the boy. I have great relationships with all three families.
I also worked in Sydney Australia for 7 months. I lived with a family of 3 girls: 3, 6, and 8. I was part time and really have enjoyed my time there! I made a great group of friends and have a great relationship with my host parents.
I also worked with a few different families in Australia on shorter jobs: house and dog sitting and nanny to two kids 6&9 and a nanny to a newborn and 1.5 year old.
I am very energetic, outgoing, and creative. I love anything from doing crafts to outdoor activities. I was in spring plays, musicals, contest play, and took every art class offered at our school. I love being active and eating healthy as well. I also love dogs, hiking, yoga, volleyball, and surfing. I also took four years of Spanish in high school. I am able to teach children basic piano skills and Spanish if interested. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and love taking care of people. I was a Deep-Water Lifeguard for two years and know basic First-Aid and CPR. I am willing to keep them updated if you wish. I love being a nanny and being able to teach a child about life and experience it with them. I like to travel and have always been a caretaker in some sense. Growing up I lived on a hobby farm and always had many animals to care for daily. I babysat in high school and taught elementary students Spanish my senior year. I always had high honors, took 3 AP courses my senior year, on Student Council 3 years in a row, and participated in many after school activities. I also took a CNA course my senior year and worked for a while as a CNA. I loved it!! I was president of our school’s National Honor Society and spearheaded many charities. I went to college for a semester after high school while working as a CNA working to get my nursing degree. I was on the Dean's List and also had another job along with my CNA job. I have a very easy going attitude. I adapt quickly to new surroundings.
I currently work on Block Island, Rhode Island managing over 100 employees at a resort which has multiple properties across the island. I love the management role and this is my 5th season. I do this in the summer so I am able to explore new parts of the world in the winter!
