Dear Host Family,

My name is Sharon, I am 25 years old and from Zimbabwe. I am a caring, patient and responsible person who genuinely enjoys being around children. I would love the opportunity to become an au pair and become a trusted and positive part of your family’s daily life.

I have hands-on experience caring for my niece and have been involved in her care since she was an infant. I currently look after her while her mother is at work, so I am familiar with the everyday responsibilities that come with caring for a baby and young toddler. I help with feeding, changing, keeping her clean and comfortable, playing with her, comforting her, keeping her entertained and making sure she is safe. I enjoy spending time with her and watching her grow, learn and become more independent.

I also grew up helping care for my younger siblings, which gave me experience with children from an early age and taught me patience, responsibility and how important it is to pay attention to each child’s needs.

I would be happy to help with your children’s daily routines, play with them, read to them, prepare simple meals and snacks, tidy up after them and accompany them on suitable activities. I understand that every child and family is different, and I am willing to learn your family’s routines and parenting preferences.

I am also excited about experiencing family life in another country, learning about a new culture and sharing my own Zimbabwean culture with your family. I hope to build a relationship with my host family based on trust, respect and good communication.
