Hallo! I am Melissa, 26 years old from Zimbabwe, currently living in Pretoria, South Africa. I am a caring, patient and responsible Au Pair with 2+ years experience caring for toddlers aged 1-7 years.

I love this age group - helping with daily routines, creative play, reading stories, potty training, cooking healthy meals for kids, and teaching English through fun games. I am Childcare Certified, I completed a Craft and Stimulating Activities for Toddlers course, plus I am First Aid trained and TEFL certified. I have strong references from families and I love planning age-appropriate activities that help children learn while playing.

Why Germany: I chose Germany because I value your culture of respect, punctuality, and kindness to children. In Zimbabwe we say "it takes a village to raise a child" - I see that same village spirit in German families. About pets: I have a strong childhood fear of indoor cats and dogs, so I feel happiest in a home without indoor cats/dogs. I am happy with fish, birds, hamsters, or if your dog lives outside. I love children and my full attention will be on them.
