Hello dear host family,

My name is Lydia, I am 23 years old and I come from Uganda. I am a kind, responsible, patient and warm-hearted person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I have around four years of childcare experience, and caring for children has taught me how important patience, understanding, responsibility and kindness are.

I enjoy creating a happy and comfortable environment where children can feel safe, loved and free to express themselves. I like playing with children, helping them with their homework, talking with them, doing creative activities, preparing simple meals and helping them with their daily routines. I am also happy to help with light household tasks, especially those related to the children, such as keeping their rooms and belongings organized.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and I am currently working with a local bank .My work has helped me become even more responsible, organized, trustworthy and good at communicating with different people. I would love to take the next step in my life by experiencing another culture, learning a new language and becoming part of a welcoming family abroad.
I would also love to share my Ugandan culture, traditions, food and experiences with you.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, swimming, hiking, playing volleyball and travelling. I am an easy-going person and I enjoy learning new things. I am also flexible and willing to adapt to the routines and lifestyle your family .

As an au pair, I would like to build a good relationship with the children and become someone they can trust and feel comfortable around them.
