My name is Dorcas Paul, I am 22 years old and I come from Tanzania. I am very happy to introduce myself to you and I would love to have the opportunity to become your au pair.
I am a caring, patient, responsible, trustworthy and hardworking young woman. I genuinely enjoy being around children and helping them learn, grow and feel loved. For me, taking care of children is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with them and contribute positively to their lives.
I have around five years of practical experience caring for children between 1 and 15 years old. During this experience, I have learned how to understand children's different personalities and needs. My responsibilities have included supervising children, preparing meals, helping with their daily routines, keeping them safe, playing with them, assisting with age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
I enjoy spending quality time with children through games, conversations, creative activities and outdoor activities. I am patient when helping children and I understand that young children need attention, encouragement, kindness and consistency. I am also comfortable caring for younger children and helping them with everyday activities such as eating, dressing, bathing and maintaining their routines, depending on the family's needs.
Besides childcare, I have experience with cooking and cleaning. I can prepare simple and healthy meals and I am happy to help with light household duties related to the children and family. I understand that an au pair should be willing to cooperate with the host family and respect their home, rules and routines.
I speak Swahili as my mother tongue and I have English at B1 level. I am motivated to improve my English and learn the language of my host country. I am also very interested in learning about a different culture, trying new foods, discovering new places and sharing my Tanzanian culture with my host family.
I would be very happy to become part of your family, not simply as someone who helps with childcare, but as a respectful and reliable member of the household.
