My name is Precious, and I am a caring, responsible and friendly young woman from Kenya. I am looking for a warm host family where I can become part of the family, support the children and learn about a new culture.
I have more than three years of childcare experience through caring for children in my family, as well as additional babysitting experience. I have cared for children of different ages and understand the importance of patience, kindness, safety and responsibility when looking after children.
I enjoy spending time with children through games, outdoor activities and creative activities. I am also happy to help with everyday routines such as preparing simple meals, keeping children's areas tidy, helping with homework and assisting with household tasks related to the children.
I would describe myself as dependable, respectful, patient and willing to learn. I enjoy swimming, riding a bicycle and playing games. I am also comfortable helping with light housekeeping and becoming involved in the daily life of the host family.
I am interested in a long-term au pair experience of 12–24 months. I am open-minded about living with a host family from a different culture and I would be happy to share my Kenyan culture, language and traditions with my host family as well.
I understand that being an au pair is about more than childcare. It is also about communication, respect, responsibility and becoming a trusted member of the household. I would do my best to create a positive and caring relationship with the children and the whole family.
I have ear piercings and no tattoos. I do not smoke. I can swim well. I do not currently have formal first-aid training, but I am willing to learn and improve my childcare skills.
