My name is Juliet, and I’m from Kenya. I’m very excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and to meet a family with whom I can share a meaningful experience.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children, and I have gained practical childcare experience through looking after my younger sister and my cousin. I have helped with everyday routines such as preparing meals, bathing, playing with them, keeping them entertained, and helping with school-related routines. These experiences have taught me that caring for children is not only about keeping them safe, but also about making them feel comfortable, listened to, and supported.

I would describe myself as someone who enjoys learning and experiencing new things. I love reading, discovering different cultures, visiting new places, and learning from the people around me. One of the things that attracts me most to being an au pair is the opportunity to become part of a family’s everyday life, learn about their culture, and also share my own Kenyan culture with them.

I’m particularly interested in improving my communication skills, becoming more independent, and growing as a person. For me, being an au pair is much more than simply travelling to another country. I want to build a genuine connection with my host family, contribute positively to their daily life, and create memories that we can all look back on.

I’m happy to help with the children’s routines and with reasonable light household tasks related to them. I would also love to spend time with the children doing things they enjoy—whether that is playing, reading, doing creative activities, going outside, helping with homework, or simply being there for them during their daily routines.

I understand that every family has its own way of doing things, and I’m willing to listen, communicate openly, and learn your routines and expectations. I also believe that good communication between an au pair and host family is very important, so I would always feel comfortable discussing things respectfully and honestly.
