Hello Families!

My name is Lamparida, I am 23 years old, and I am from Indonesia. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from Universitas Sumatera Utara. I am excited to introduce myself and share my interest in becoming an Au Pair.

Although I do not have professional experience as a nanny or Au Pair yet, I have experience caring for children in my family. I have helped take care of my three nieces, spending time with them, helping with their daily needs, playing with them, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. This experience has taught me to be patient, responsible, attentive, and understanding toward children.

I also have experience working with children through Kampus Mengajar, an educational program in Indonesia. During the program, I worked directly with students, supported their learning activities, assisted teachers, and communicated with school staff. I interacted with children with different personalities and learning needs, which helped me understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and positive communication.

I really enjoy being around children and seeing them learn and grow. I would be happy to spend time with children through playing, reading, drawing, educational activities, outdoor activities, and other age-appropriate activities. I believe children learn naturally through play, curiosity, and positive interaction.

I understand that every child is different. Some children may be very active and curious, while others may need more patience and encouragement. I am willing to learn about each child's personality, interests, routines, and needs so that I can provide care that makes them feel safe, happy, and supported.

I would describe myself as caring, patient, responsible, adaptable, and willing to learn. Since this would be my first experience as an Au Pair, I am open to guidance and willing to learn from my host family. I will respect your family's routines, parenting style, rules, privacy, and values. I am also comfortable asking questions when I am unsure about something because I believe good communication is important when caring for children.

One of the reasons I would love to become an Au Pair is the opportunity for cultural exchange. I would love to experience everyday life in another country, learn about a different culture, and share Indonesian culture, food, traditions, and stories with my host family. I hope to become not only someone who helps with childcare, but also a trusted and caring member of the family.

Regarding my English, my current level is approximately Upper-Intermediate (B2). I can communicate in English in everyday situations, although I am still working on becoming more fluent and confident. I do not speak Spanish fluently. However, I am very motivated to improve my English through daily communication and living in an English-speaking environment.

I am looking for a host family who is kind, respectful, communicative, and willing to welcome me as part of their family. I hope we can get to know each other, discuss your family's expectations and routines, and see whether we would be a good match.
