My name is Indah, but you can call me Hera. I am a 24-year-old Indonesian girl and I am very excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and experience everyday life with a host family in Europe.
I have always enjoyed spending time with children. While I do not have professional experience as a nanny, I have hands-on childcare experience from taking care of my nephew and niece. I have helped with their daily routines, including preparing meals, feeding, bathing, playing, helping with homework, and keeping them entertained. Through this experience, I have learned to be patient, responsible, attentive, and flexible because every child has a different personality and needs.
I am a Bachelor of Laws graduate from Universitas Negeri Semarang, where I graduated with a GPA of 3.73 (Cum Laude). During university, I also participated in a student exchange program, which gave me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and become more independent and adaptable.
I would describe myself as a caring, responsible, patient, and easy-going person. I enjoy learning new things, exploring new places, and getting to know people from different cultures. I also enjoy movies and series, travelling, learning languages, and discovering new food. I speak Indonesian as my native language and English at an intermediate/professional working level. I am also currently learning basic German and Spanish.
One of my main goals as an au pair is not only to help your family with the children, but also to become a positive and trustworthy person in their lives. I would love to play with them, help them with their routines and homework, introduce them to Indonesian culture and food, and learn about your family's culture and traditions as well.
I am also willing to learn. I understand that taking care of young children, especially babies or toddlers, requires patience, attention, and responsibility. I am happy to learn your family's routines and follow your parenting style. I believe good communication between the au pair and host family is very important, so I would always try to communicate openly and respectfully.
