Dear host family,

I am Alfiandy David Pratama. I come from Indonesia and am 25 years old, and I am writing to show my great interest in taking up the position of Au Pair with you. At the moment I am employed as a private teacher of English, where I create interesting lessons, establish a good relationship with my students, and create a patient and encouraging atmosphere for learning. I also have a business in which I rent out PlayStations, an experience that has improved my organizational abilities, sense of responsibility, and skills in dealing with customers. The combination of these jobs and my 5 months of practical experience looking after my uncle's children, along with my background in customer service, has developed in me the patience, flexibility, and leadership qualities necessary to build a good relationship with children and make them feel safe, supported and involved.

In my spare time I like to play guitar as a member of a band, take part in team games, play badminton, practice archery, and study languages. I would like to pass on these interests to your children by tutoring them in guitar, staying active through outdoor sports, or helping them to learn languages in an interactive manner. I am able to speak English, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Bahasa Indonesia.

Whatever the activity—whether it be educational help, musical activities, sports, language practice or playing fun video games—I hope to bring a well-structured yet creative and active spirit to your children's everyday routines. As an Au Pair, I wish to offer your children my full attention and care while at the same time acting as an encouraging, enjoyable and trustworthy mentor in their daily lives.
