Dear Future Host Family,
My name is Alieffia, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Indonesia. I would describe myself as a friendly, caring, easy-going and responsible person. I enjoy spending time with people, having conversations, learning new things, and experiencing different cultures.
I want to become an Au Pair and Caregiver for elderly because I would like to have a new experience abroad while doing something meaningful. I have always enjoyed taking care of people, and I think living with a host family would be a great opportunity for me to learn about a different culture, improve my language skills, become more independent, and at the same time be helpful to someone else.
I have experience taking care of my aunt’s child from the age of 4 to 7. I helped take her to kindergarten, feed her, bathe her, play with her, and help clean her up when she needed to use the toilet. I really enjoyed spending time with her and being part of her daily routine.
I also have personal experience caring for my grandmother when she became elderly and needed more help with her daily activities. I helped her with bathing, feeding, cleaning up, and keeping her company by talking and spending time together. When her condition became more serious and she needed to go to the hospital, I stayed with her and helped take care of her. This experience taught me to be patient, attentive and understanding when caring for someone who needs extra support.
Although this would be my first experience as an Au Pair and professional caregiver, I believe my personal experiences have prepared me for many of the responsibilities. I am not afraid of helping with daily personal care, and I understand that caring for someone requires patience, responsibility and kindness.
I hope you would consider hosting me because I am someone who is willing to learn, communicate openly and adapt to your family’s routines. I would treat your home and family with respect and do my best to make your daily life a little easier. I also hope that we can build a good relationship where we can learn from each other and feel comfortable as a family.
