Hi! My name is Cecile, and I’m a 21-year-old German au pair currently living in Canada. I’m looking forward to finding a new host family and becoming part of a new family while experiencing more of Canada. ??

I have over 5 years of childcare experience, including 2.5 years as an au pair in the United States. During my time there, I cared for two boys who were 8 and 10 years old. My responsibilities included school drop-offs and pick-ups, helping with homework, preparing meals, driving to sports and activities, planning activities, bedtime routines, and taking care of them during weekends, school breaks and vacations.

Back in Germany, I’ve also gained experience tutoring German and math and volunteering at a local youth club, where I organized activities for children. I also enjoyed working as a babysitter in my free time! These experiences have taught me to be patient, responsible, flexible and, most importantly, to genuinely enjoy spending time with children.

I would describe myself as caring, reliable, responsible and easygoing. I love being active and spending time outdoors, but I also enjoy quiet evenings, reading, watching movies and simply being part of family life. I’m always happy to get involved and create fun everyday memories with the kids.

One of the things I value most about being an au pair is the cultural exchange. I love learning about the family I live with, their traditions and their way of life, while also sharing my own German culture and experiences.

I’m currently already in Canada and my work permit is valid until August 2027, so I’m hoping to find a family where we can have a great experience together for the coming months. I’m open to different locations and would love the opportunity to explore more of Canada.

I’m looking for a family where communication, respect and trust go both ways, and where I can truly feel like part of the family while also having my own time and independence.
