Hello future host family!

My name is Chanel, I am French and I currently live in France. I would describe myself as a calm, caring, patient, responsible and curious person. I am very excited about the possibility of becoming an Au Pair and would love to tell you a little more about myself.

Although I have never been an Au Pair before, I already have several experiences with children. I have a BAFA, a French qualification for working with children and supervising activities. As an activity leader, I have worked with groups of 12 to 15 children aged 3 to 6 and 7 to 10. I was responsible for supervising them, organizing activities, ensuring their safety and adapting to their different needs.

I have also babysat two young children, an 18-month-old boy and his 3-year-old sister. This experience taught me to be patient, attentive and responsible. I really enjoy spending time with children, playing with them, listening to them and helping them discover new things.

I would be happy to share different activities with your children, such as games, drawing, crafts, reading, outdoor activities, cooking or baking. I also enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge, so I would be happy to help them practice French or English in a fun and natural way.

I am particularly interested in languages and different cultures. I speak French and English, and I am currently learning Korean. One of my main goals is to improve my Korean through everyday life and become more comfortable communicating in Korean. At the same time, I would love to share my French culture, language, food and traditions with my host family.

I am also passionate about pastry and cooking. I recently obtained my CAP Pastry Certificate and have professional experience in pastry, including vegan and gluten-free baking. I love being creative in the kitchen and would be happy to share this passion with my host family.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, learning languages and visiting museums. I love discovering new places, learning about history and culture, and trying new things.

What attracts me most to becoming an Au Pair is the opportunity to truly experience everyday life in another country and become part of a family. I would love to discover Korean culture, traditions and family life while also sharing my own culture with you. I hope to create a relationship based on trust, respect and kindness and become someone your children feel comfortable with and can rely on.

I also see this experience as a wonderful opportunity to become more independent, grow as a person and step outside my comfort zone. I am open-minded, willing to adapt and excited to learn from my host family.

After my Au Pair experience, I would like to continue developing my career in pastry. In the next four to five years, I hope to open my own coffee shop, combining my passion for pastry and coffee with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I believe that living abroad, improving my Korean and discovering new cultures will give me valuable experiences and inspiration for this future project.
