Introduction

Dear Host Family,
Hello! My name is Jeany, and I am from the Philippines. I am very excited to introduce myself to you and hopefully become a part of your family as an au pair. I am someone who is caring, responsible, patient, hardworking, and open-minded. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, learning about different people and cultures, and creating meaningful connections with others. I believe that being an au pair is not only an opportunity to travel and experience a new culture, but also a chance to become part of a family, help with daily life, and create wonderful memories together.
I would describe myself as a warm and approachable person. I may be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but once I become comfortable, I am friendly, talkative, and easy to get along with. I value respect, honesty, good communication, and understanding. I also believe that every family has its own routines, traditions, parenting styles, and way of doing things, and I am willing to learn and adapt to your family's lifestyle.
Coming from the Philippines, family has always been very important to me. I grew up understanding the value of helping one another, being considerate, and taking responsibility for the people around us. I am used to helping with household responsibilities and understand that keeping a home organized is a shared effort. I would be happy to help with child-related household tasks, preparing simple meals, keeping children's areas organized, helping with laundry, tidying up after activities, and other reasonable responsibilities related to the children.
One of the main reasons I am interested in becoming an au pair is because I genuinely enjoy being around children. I find it rewarding to see them learn new things, discover their interests, and become more independent. I understand that taking care of children requires patience, attention, consistency, and a lot of responsibility. Children have different personalities and needs, so I believe it is important to listen to them, understand them, and treat them with kindness while still following the rules and boundaries established by their parents.
I am also comfortable with responsibilities and understand the importance of being dependable. I currently have work experience in customer service, where I have learned how to communicate with different kinds of people, remain calm in stressful situations, listen carefully, solve problems, and handle responsibilities professionally. Working in a finance-related customer service environment has taught me to be detail-oriented, patient, trustworthy, and careful when dealing with important situations. I believe these qualities can also be valuable when caring for children and becoming part of a host family.
I am particularly excited about the cultural exchange aspect of being an au pair. I would love to learn about your country's culture, traditions, food, language, and everyday life. At the same time, I would be happy to share my Filipino culture with your family. I would love to introduce you to Filipino food, traditions, expressions, celebrations, and the Filipino values that are important to me. I think one of the most beautiful things about the au pair experience is that both the au pair and the host family can learn from each other.
I am also looking forward to improving myself during this experience. Living in another country would challenge me to become more independent, adaptable, confident, and responsible. I know that being away from home and adjusting to a new environment may have challenges, but I am prepared to approach them with an open mind and a positive attitude. I am willing to communicate whenever there is a misunderstanding or concern because I believe that good communication is the foundation of a healthy relationship between an au pair and a host family.
Outside of work and responsibilities, I enjoy simple things such as spending time with people I care about, exploring new places, trying different foods, listening to music, watching movies or shows, and taking photos and making memories. I also enjoy learning new things and would be excited to discover activities that your family enjoys. Whether that means going for walks, visiting parks, doing crafts, playing games, helping with homework, preparing food together, or simply spending time together at home, I would be happy to participate.
I am not looking for a host family simply because I want to travel. I am hoping to find a family with whom I can build a genuine relationship based on mutual respect, trust, communication, and understanding. I would love to feel welcomed as a member of your household while also respecting that I am there to support your family and help care for your children.
I understand that welcoming an au pair into your home is also a big decision for a host family. You are trusting someone from another country to care for your children and become part of your daily life. I do not take that responsibil
