Dear Host Family,

Hello! My name is Mae Ann, and I am very excited to introduce myself to you. I am writing this letter with hope that you will consider me as your future au pair.

This will be my first time applying to become an au pair, and although I do not have previous experience as an au pair, I am very willing to learn, adapt, and give my best in this new journey. I believe that being an au pair is not only about helping with childcare, but also about becoming a trusted member of the family, learning about a new culture, and sharing my own culture and experiences as well.

I have experience spending time and working with children through our church, where I teach children around 3 to 8 years old. I enjoy telling them stories, teaching them simple lessons, playing with them, and helping them feel comfortable and cared for. This experience has taught me to be patient, responsible, understanding, and attentive to children's different personalities and needs.

I would describe myself as a caring, patient, responsible, hardworking, and respectful person. I may be new to the au pair experience, but I am someone who is eager to learn and open to new experiences. I understand that living with a host family in another country will come with challenges, but I am prepared to respect your family's rules, routines, and way of life. I am also willing to communicate openly whenever there is something I need to understand or improve.

In my free time, I enjoy reading stories and watching sports, especially basketball and volleyball. I am not very good at playing them myself, but I really enjoy watching and supporting the teams. I also enjoy spending time with children and discovering new things.

My hope in becoming an au pair is to experience life in another country, learn about a different culture, improve myself, and build a meaningful relationship with my host family. Most importantly, I would love to be someone your children can feel comfortable with, trust, and enjoy spending time with.

Since this would be my first time traveling abroad as an au pair, I would also sincerely appreciate a host family who is willing to assist me with the visa process. If you are able and willing to sponsor or support the required visa for an au pair, I would be very grateful. I understand that this is an important commitment for a host family, and I would be happy to discuss the requirements and responsibilities openly with you.

I know that choosing an au pair is an important decision for a family, especially when considering someone who is applying for the first time.
