Hello! My name is Patricia, but you can call me Pat. I am from Iloilo City in the Philippines, and I am very excited to introduce myself to my future host family.

I would describe myself as caring, patient, responsible, cheerful, and adaptable. I genuinely enjoy being around children and have been part of caring for children in my family and among my close friends for many years.

My childcare experience started with my niece, who lived with us from the age of 2 until she was 10 years old. I also helped care for my cousin from the age of 2 until she was 7 while her mother was pregnant. There were times when I looked after them for the entire day. I helped prepare their meals, fed them, played with them, kept them company, and helped with their bedtime routine. When they started preschool, I also helped buy their school supplies and picked them up after school.

I also helped care for my close friend’s baby from the age of 1 for around four months while her husband was working abroad as a seafarer. During that time, I helped with the baby’s daily needs, including feeding, changing diapers, playing, preparing food, cleaning, and shopping for the baby’s necessities.

These experiences taught me that taking care of children requires patience, responsibility, attention, and a lot of love. I enjoy playing with children, doing simple activities with them, helping them learn, and making them feel safe and comfortable. I also have an NC II Caregiving Certificate and CPR/First Aid training, which have given me additional knowledge about caring for others safely.

I currently work as a Quality Analyst, and my professional experience has taught me to be organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and good at communication. I believe these qualities will also help me become a reliable au pair.

I would love to become an au pair because I want to experience everyday family life in another country, learn about a new culture, and share my own Filipino culture with my host family. I would be happy to introduce you to Filipino food, traditions, and family values while learning about your culture and way of life.

I understand that every family is different, so I am open to learning your routines and expectations. Good communication, respect, honesty, and trust are very important to me. I hope to find a family where we can support and respect each other and where I can become someone you and your children can feel comfortable with.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, learning new things, and spending time with my three dogs. I am excited about the possibility of meeting a host family, caring for their children, sharing our cultures, and creating wonderful memories together.
