Dear host family my name is Micah and i would like to describe myself with this letter. It was always a dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country and i am really excited that it will become my reality soon. I would like yo go somewhere in the United States because i am a big fan of the culture and the wnba :). And also i loved to explore other parts of the world.

I would like to tell you a bit about myself, i am a 23yrs old living in the southern part of the Philippines General Santos City. I studied bachelors of elementary education for about a year but didn’t get the chance to finished it due to financial incapacity as i was sustaining myself and i studied at a university before. I like to learn and explore the world because i am a young, creative, and ambitious person. I have a National Certificate of Cookery and Tailoring. I always loved cooking and i am passionate about it, and i hope in the future I’ll become a cook/chef. I also know basic ASL (sign language) because my younger brother used to have a mute playmate before. And by learning the sign language myself i wanted the mute/deaf community to feel seen, and accepted by the society.

I used to take care of my now 7 yr old brother, as my father is old and my brother and i has a big age gap of 17 yrs. Taking care of kids was never an easy job and it takes a village to raise a child. But children has a pure and innocent charm in them, and they’re precious human beings.
And i believe that the soul is healed by being with children.

Lastly, i believe that true education is about awakening a love of learning in the hearts of children.
