Introduction

Dear Host Family,

My name is "Hunny", and I am 45 years old. I am a single mother to a 17-year old son who will soon be entering college. At this stage of my life, I am looking for an opportunity to work as an au pair and nanny abroad, not only to support my son’s education and help secure his future, but also to experience a new culture, meet people from different backgrounds, and become part of a loving family.

For the past six years, I have been working as a Driving Istructor. This job has taught me to be patient, responsible, attentive, and calm, especially when dealing with different personalities and situations. Being a driving instructor requires trust, discipline, good communication, and a strong sense of responsibility.. qualities that I believe are also very important when caring for children.

Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked in the food and beverage industry, and I studied Hotel and Restaurant Management in college. Because of my background, I am comfortable in the kitchen and genuinely enjoy cooking. I would be happy to prepare meals for the family and introduce you to some Filipino dishes and traditions.

I have always loved children. I have four nieces and nephews whom I helped care for from the time they were babies. Being around them taught me how to be patient, attentive, playful, and caring. As a mother myself, I also understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust with their children. I know that caring for a child is not simply about watching them, it is about making them feel safe, loved, respected, and supported.

I am an honest, reliable, responsible, patient, caring, and hardworking person. I am also willing to learn and adapt to new environments. I enjoy cooking, reading, driving, spending time outdoors, and discovering new places. I believe I can bring a warm and positive presence into your home while respecting your family’s values, privacy, routines, and way of life.

I believe I could be a good au pair for your family because I have the maturity and life experience of a mother, the patience and responsibility required of a driving instructor, and the hospitality skills I gained from my education and previous work. Most importantly, I genuinely care about children and understand the trust that parents place in the person they choose to look after them.

If you choose to host me, I will do my best to become someone your family can depend on. I would be happy to help with the children, prepare meals, assist with household routines, and contribute to a peaceful and happy home. In return, I hope to become part of your family, learn about your culture and traditions, and create meaningful memories together.

I understand that becoming an au pair is not only about finding employment. It is also about building trust, sharing cultures, learning from one another, and becoming part of a family. I would be grateful for the opportunity to do that with you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and get to know a little about me. I hope you will consider giving me the opportunity to become your au pair. I would love to meet you and your family, learn more about you, and hopefully become someone you can trust and welcome into your home.

Warmly,
Hunny
