Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Jimwell, but you can simply call me Jim. I am a teacher by profession and a responsible, caring, patient, and hardworking person. I am also the second eldest in my family, and growing up in this role taught me to be dependable, helpful, and considerate of the people around me.

I am very friendly to people around me that why most of the them see me as the clown of the group maybe because aside of being friendly i am also a jolly person. Growing up, I found myself as the second parent of my siblings because both of my parents were working, my father would only be at home every weekends and my mother was working abroad. At the age of 12 I started doing laundry, fetching water, cooking, cleaning the house, and most of all taking care of my younger siblings. On top of these I was also a working scholar in school and my responsibilities there were very similar to what I do at home because unlike other schools my work there is to clean also. I finished my studies and got into different types of jobs and it honed my skills and strengthen my character to becoming who I am today. From being a Mc Donalds crew, College NSTP Teacher/ Facilitator, ESL Teacher, Call center Agent, Video Editor, Airport Ground Crew to my recent job as Financial Planning Assistant. It taught me a lot of skills that I can use to build my career, but the most important thing I got from these experiences is that it strengthens my character and made me a good person. Now, I want to experience working with new culture at the same time sharing my own heritage to other part of the world as an AuPair.

I want to become an Au Pair because I would love to experience living in a new culture, improve my language skills, and meet people from a different background. At the same time, I want to share my own culture, experiences, and knowledge with my host family. I believe that being an Au Pair is not only about taking care of children but also about becoming a trusted member of the family and creating a meaningful connection with them.

As a teacher, I believe I have qualities and skills that make me well suited for this position. My profession has given me experience working with children and understanding their different personalities, needs, and learning styles. I have learned to be patient, attentive, understanding, and responsible when dealing with children. I also know how important it is to create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable and supported.

Although I may not have professional experience specifically as an Au Pair, my teaching experience and my responsibilities at home have prepared me for many aspects of the role. I am comfortable helping children with their daily routines, assisting with learning and schoolwork, organizing activities, and keeping them engaged in a positive way. I am also willing to help with household chores and follow the routines and expectations of my host family.

I believe you should consider hosting me because I am adaptable, willing to learn, and committed to giving my best. I understand that every family has different routines and expectations, and I am open to learning and adjusting to your way of life. I would treat your children with care, patience, and respect, just as I would want someone to treat the children in my own family.
