Introduction
My name is Jea, a 24-year-old Filipina who recently graduated with a degree in Accountancy. I’m excited to become an au pair and be part of a warm and welcoming family abroad, caring for your children, learning about your culture, and sharing mine in return.
I have real-life experience in childcare. I helped raise my younger brother from age 5 to 12 while our mom worked far from home. I’ve also worked part-time as a tutor for my cousin (aged 6–10), and I’ve joined several outreach programs for children, where we organized fun activities and shared meaningful time with kids from different communities. These experiences taught me patience, empathy, and the joy of making kids smile.
I’m also comfortable caring for infants and babies. I can assist with feeding, bathing, diaper changes, putting them to sleep, and keeping their space clean and safe. I don’t drink or smoke, and I live a simple, healthy lifestyle.
In addition to childcare, I’ve also worked in a busy restaurant, so I’m used to managing tasks, staying organized, and keeping things clean. I'm more than willing to help with light household chores like tidying up, meal preparation, or laundry. I believe that being part of a host family means supporting your everyday life, not just taking care of the kids.
I would describe myself as calm, caring, respectful, and responsible. I’m truly excited to learn your language, experience your culture, and form a close bond with your family. Being an au pair is not just about travel for me, it’s about sharing, growing, and building meaningful connections.
Thank you so much for taking time to read my letter. I would love to be a positive addition to your home.
