My name is Yousef, I am 26 and from Egypt. I am a friendly, responsible and open-minded individual who enjoys learning new things and meeting people from different cultures.

I want to become an au pair since I really would like to experience life in a different country, to improve my language and to get involved in a new culture. For me, being an au pair is not just about travelling; I would really like to live with a host family, take part in their daily lives, learn from them and at the same time share some of my Egyptian culture with them.

I did my studies in Financial Accounting at Cairo University and have had experience in customer service. This has given me the ability to communicate with all kinds of people, to be patient, to listen carefully, to solve problems and to take responsibility.

I too have had the opportunity to spend time with children within my family; I have four nieces and nephews who are the children of my two sisters and have always enjoyed playing with them, having conversations with them and assisting them with all sorts of activities. Because of being with them I have become more at ease and patient when dealing with children, and I truly enjoy watching their personalities grow and learning new things together with them.

In my spare time I like going to the gym, having a coffee, learning languages, working with technology and playing video games. I'm also interested in travelling and in discovering new places, cultures and ways of life.

I am calm and patient and always open to learning. It would make me happy to assist with the children's daily routines, to play with them, to help them with simple activities and to ensure that they feel at ease and safe. Likewise, I am willing to take on some reasonable household tasks as part of family life.

All I want is to join a kind and friendly host family in which we can respect and support one another; I would like to establish a good relationship with the family and feel like we are a part of the home, at the same time as becoming more independent and developing as a person.

I’m excited about this new chapter in my life and I hope to find a host family with whom I can share a positive and memorable experience
