Introduction
My name is Michelle, and I am a 28-year-old childcare professional born and raised in Miami, Florida. I come from a multicultural background, with a Venezuelan mother and Cuban father, and I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I have a background in psychology and over seven years of professional childcare experience, working with children from infancy through their preteen years.
I began my childcare career primarily working with infants and young children, gaining valuable hands-on experience with developmental milestones, feeding routines, nap transitions, potty training, and creating nurturing, structured environments. Over the years, my responsibilities have expanded beyond traditional childcare into family assistance, household management, and international travel nannying.
For nearly five years, I have worked with a wonderful family of five in Coconut Grove, Miami, caring for three children who are now 5, 9, and 10 years old. I began working with the family when their youngest child was just six months old, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch her grow and develop. My daily responsibilities include supporting morning and school routines, preparing meals, coordinating extracurricular activities, organizing playdates, managing appointments, and ensuring the children have a balanced, engaging, and structured environment.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong appreciation for Montessori principles and Conscious Discipline, having completed a course focused on these approaches. I believe children thrive when they are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, emotional awareness, and a genuine curiosity about the world around them. My approach to childcare combines patience, consistency, positive guidance, and plenty of opportunities for learning through everyday experiences.
One of the most exciting aspects of my career has been the opportunity to travel extensively with families throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. I have experience accompanying families on extended international trips, sometimes lasting up to two months, while providing live-in childcare and household support. These experiences have strengthened my adaptability, problem-solving skills, cultural awareness, and ability to remain organized in new environments. I am also a confident driver and comfortable navigating unfamiliar destinations.
Outside of work, I consider myself an active, outgoing, and family-oriented person. I enjoy playing tennis, Pilates, exercising, traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. I love staying active with children, whether that means spending time outdoors, organizing creative activities, exploring nature, or encouraging them to try something new.
I would describe myself as nurturing, responsible, proactive, patient, and highly organized. I take pride in being someone families can genuinely depend on. I understand the importance of respecting each family’s parenting style, maintaining open communication, and creating a positive relationship built on trust and mutual respect.
As I begin this next chapter of my life, I am excited about the possibility of joining a family abroad, experiencing a new culture, and continuing to do what I love most: caring for children and supporting their growth. I am open to relocating internationally and would love to find a family where I can establish a meaningful connection and become a trusted, positive presence in their children’s lives.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to the possibility of meeting your family and learning how I can contribute to your household!
Warm regards,
Michelle
