A Little About Me

Hello! My name is Loretta, and I am an experienced educator and family-support professional with more than 25 years of experience working with children and families. I recently completed my 20th year teaching junior-high and high-school students, an experience that has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping children grow academically, personally, and socially while building strong, trusting relationships with both students and their parents.

I am especially comfortable working with school-age children and understand the importance of providing the right balance of structure, encouragement, patience, and fun. I have extensive experience helping children with homework, identifying areas where they may be struggling, creating individualized support, and encouraging them to become more confident and independent learners. I have also mentored other teachers and worked closely with families to navigate academic, behavioral, and organizational challenges.

Beyond my professional experience, I am a mother and grandmother, so caring for children is very much a part of who I am. For more than 20 years, I also volunteered in the nursery at the church I attended, caring for young children and helping provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment.

I would describe myself as caring, patient, dependable, organized, discreet, and calm under pressure. I understand that inviting someone into your home and entrusting them with your children requires a tremendous amount of trust. I take that responsibility very seriously. I believe in respecting each family's parenting style, routines, values, and expectations while becoming a reliable and positive presence in the children's lives.

I am relocating to the Hardeeville, South Carolina area and am looking forward to beginning this next chapter.
