Dear Family,
I am a 35 year-old full-time teacher certified in grades pre-k through 2nd in NYC. I am looking for both part-time, after school or weekend tutoring in the city (5:30 pm or later weekdays, weekends) or full-time, live-in or out English tutoring in the summer (last week of June through last week of August).

I have fifteen years of experience working with children, and for the past several years have been teaching children ages 2.9-6, often in a mixed-age classroom.

I have eight years of teaching experience. I am a certified AMS Montessori teacher and have a MS Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education. I have a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia. I am certified to teach Music Together classes and teach both music and art in after school activities at my current school. I have taught full-time in both Europe and in the U.S.
I am fluent in French and teach pre-k full-time at a bilingual private school in NYC.

Last summer I worked as an English tutor part-time outside of Rome, Italy. I speak conversational Italian.

I am able to swim, boat, ski, ride horses, play a variety of sports, and I have a wide range of art and other creative skills. I am fun, engaging, and love to sing and read books. I love the idea of helping children become more English proficient over the summer months, especially those in English school! It can be hard to keep language up over the summer. :)
