Hi! My name is Lisa and I am college graduate looking to take care of you and your family. I have been providing child care since I was in middle school. Throughout college I was a nanny for a wonderful family in my college town for 5+ years. To this day, we are great friends and maintain a wonderful relationship. I have also taken care of all types of children, including ones with disabilities and multiples. I find each child unique and enjoy the challenges of each situation.
I grew up in a two-parent household in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. I have an older brother and a younger sister. My childhood was great with many wonderful things accomplished. I was a national figure skater and an honor student. My family enriched my life with love and support. Without them, I would not be who I am today.
I have two bachelor degrees from Michigan State University. A Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. I also completed graduate coursework in physiology. Currently, I just left my position at Wayne State University due to lack of funding. For the last 2.5 years I did pediatric middle ear research and was also the Director of Public Relations for a non-profit organization called The Lions Hearing Center of Michigan. This job allowed me to work for a wonderful cause of hearing in the pediatric world. Even throughout the time I worked for the university, I maintained babysitting positions throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. I look forward to being a full-time nanny or housemanager again as I find it a very rewarding profession. Besides being a nanny, I have also worked as a personal/executive assistant for an entrepreneur. This was also a wonderful position which I enjoyed and I feel it also enhances my ability as a nanny. I would also be willing to apply for PA positions if our needs met.
