| Dear au pair, Amsterdam, where we live in is a very lively, international city in the heart of Europe. It is 'international' in the sense that you can manage your life perfectly well without speaking a word of Dutch. Amsterdam is home to two universities and the city is full of young people.
We live in a very nice district named Buitenveldert where lots of Dutch and expats live. It is 15 minutes by bike or tram to the old city center.
Our little one, Selin is a very cheerful girl who loves interaction with others, especially with 'older sisters'. She follows up a Montessori creche which is bilingual, in Dutch and English. We plan to take her to the international school of Amsterdam when she turns out to be four.
Selin likes dancing, listening to music, playing with puzzles, painting etc. We are looking for the fourth member of our family, who would take care of her, play, sing with her.
We already have a cleaning lady who comes once a week to do the heavy housework. As we all four will be living in the same appartment, we expect our au pair to help us with the light housework to keep the cleanliness and tidiness of the it at all times.
Please note that we are (both parents) fluent in English. Our preference would be to have a native English speaker.
With love, |
