Nanny's Message to Families

Hello, My name is Ashley and I am looking for a positive, upbeat and loving family. EXPERIENCE- Infants-12yrs., Nanny, Childcare Center, Manager of Kids Camp at a Resort. While going to college in KY, I was a nanny for a 3 month old named Hunter. I took care of Hunter untill he was 2. We enjoyed going to music class, the zoo and play dates. I then moved to New Hampshire to be with my boyfriend that is in the US Coast Guard. There I worked at a Childcare Center and for 6 months I took care of 5 infants, enjoying each and every moment I had with them. I then moved on to the 2&3 year old class for about 6 months, they were a riot. We would spend the day doing arts & crafts, teaching them their numbers, colors, songs and just having a good time. I was offered a nanny position for a great family with 2 very energetic little boys. We enjoyed playing outside, going to parks, museums, cooking and pretending. Everyday when their mother came home I would give her the ups and downs of the day so that she could be included in the days happenings. For the past two years I have lived in the beautiful USVI (St. Croix). I worked at a resort as manager of their Kids Camp. This involved meeting new children between the ages of 4 thur 12 everyday and having the greatest time with them. We would spend the day snorkeling, kayaking, treasure hunting, crab racing, swimming, arts & crafts. I received wonderful letters from the parents, telling me how much fun their children had at camp and how pleased they were knowing that the children were safe with me. I would like to be a nanny again because of the everyday interaction you have with the children. I love to watch them grow and be a part of the little things that are so precious. I really enjoy teaching, whether it be sign language to a toddler to help them communicate the things they cannot yet say or good manors to younger children. I am not a big fan of kids watching a lot of TV. I would rather they use their imagination and creativity for fun. This may be a little cheesy but I am a big fan of the Super Nanny. I respect and use the methods that she uses when dealing with any inappropriate behavior.
