Au Pair/Nanny job description

The successful candidate would be an Aupair with a great work ethic that compliments and extends our family. She must be kind and always act with the best intentions of the children with every decision. She would be fun, enjoy sports, but also relaxation "down" time as well. She would value cleanliness and order in a household, and work to keep that standard. She would be able to work the infrequent night or weekend day to give the parents a night out. Her accommodation would be a large, private room on the same floor as the family (locked door), sharing a bathroom with the children (locked door). The ability to teach 2nd and 3rd language skills to our children would set you apart from the other candidates. Spanish, French, Portuguese are the languages of focus.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a busy family. Two working parents with very active careers and 2 very active kids. Our home is a warm and welcome place that we center our lives around with family time around suppers and hosting friends and family. We value and respect both ours and others privacy. We work hard and we play hard, often taking day trips to the zoo, museums, and active sports like skiing, swimming. Cleanliness is very important to us, ensuring our home is well organized and safe. Our family loves the natural world, taking vacations at our family cottage in the summer. Our daughter is soon to turn 2, and is a constant source of delight and joy. She's often referred to as the happiest child people have ever met. Our son is an active 4 year old that has a big appetite for life, loves reading and playing with dinosaurs, trucks and other "boy toys". We're a fun and active bunch, we look forward to sharing laughter and fun while we raise our children to be educated and well rounded individuals.
