Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello Dear Family, Well...I'm going to use this small space to write a little bit about me and about my experience with kids. I came from this large Portuguese family with so many little cousins. Since I was a little girl, I used to take care of my younger cousins ."I remember that I was only 7 when I helped for the first time my aunt to take care of my newborn cousin Max. The things are a little bit different in Brazil, the kids ,principally the girls, get responsabilities very early in life is just the way our culture is. My brother is 2 years older than me but even though when I was a little girl, like 12 years old, I had to take care of him also. I had to tell him to wake up to go to school, to do his homework, to branch his teeth and put way his toys after play. After that I became a big girl and I went to college but always in contact with kids. In my first year in college I worked in this school with toddlers. Besides that, I was always envolved with some activities for kids, such as managing bithday parties, games, summer camp and babysitting kids from my neighborhood. About 2 years ago, I decided to apply for an Aupair. I've been an aupair for 2 years and I've been having a great experience with kids in United States. As an aupair, I took care of kids with differents ages, boys and girls. I can provide good references! I believe that I'm a kind of person who can teach your kids good things about life. For example: how to be nice with the people around, take care of the pets, always say "excuse me" and "thank you". Also, help the parents teaching the kids about discipline and responsabilities. About myself, I can say that I'm a very outgoing girl. I love play sports(princepally running), health food(I'm vegetariam), gym, go out with my friends, watch movies, read novels, talk about different cultures, travel, cook and go shopping. I'm a very good experient driver and I have drivers license wich I got in US. I'm looking for a family who I can spend at least 1 year. I have plans to live in the United States for 3 more years.
