My name is Mariana and I am 22 years old. I live in Blumenau. It is city with a population of around 300 thousand people. Usually the weather is hot and dry with temperatures averaging around 30º C. I live in an apartment with my sister. she is older than me, she's 24 years old. I'm studying biological sciences at Blumenau University. I lived and studied in Rio de Janeiro for six months from April to august of 2007, I lived with an family along with 2 friends. I can speak english and spanish. During the weekdays mornings I work at University, in the afternoon I study english and take care one sweet and fun boy, he is 3 years old and I love him. we do many cool things, such: play hide-and-seek, model in playdoh, hand puppet and we also sing and dance a lot of music. In the night I have class at university. sometimes, on weekends I go home to see my parents. They live on farm in Garuva city. There is very beautiful and calm. In the morning I listen the birds and others animals. I like so much there. and on the others weekends I like to go out with my friends. We usually have barbeques, movie or go to the beach. I have many friends, but a few are very special for me. In my free time I also like to watch movies, go to the movie, listen to music, read, and go to theater. I has another experiences with kids, I took care two kids for one year. the boys were 7 and 9 years old. This experience was very good to me, I miss their. I would like to be an au pair because I love kids. That would be the most important thing to me. I think that to be an au pair is to discover how to solve problems by myself, control my money, find solutions for problems, plan my future, make friends at any place. I am sure I will come back more dedicate, mature. I expect to gain more knowledge about people in general, like how to live with different cultures, personal growth, meeting people from all over the world, and to increase my knowledge in english.
