As a language teacher I spent most of my adult life travelling or working with children.
I worked in various primary and secondary schools as a supply teacher and as a Comenius language assistant at Lycée Hotelier in Paris. This experience pushed me to work in tourism as well as a travel nanny and adapt to the wonderful life of Mary Poppins.
I was working as a children's entertainer in the Miniclub in Southern Tunisia and in winter in Limassol, Cyprus. From 2012-2013 I was working as an on-call luxury nanny in France and as a travelling nanny abroad.
My last position was as a travel nanny travelling with a VIP international family worldwide, taking care of their little boy, teaching him a new language. I am interested to continue working as a language tutor and am available to travel with the family providing the best care your children can imagine. I can teach your little munchkins a variety of European languages and a lot of fun outdoor and board games.
I have worked with the Red Cross in the summer camps in Croatia and with another Slovenian youth organisation in 1995 and 1996 so I have experience with groups as well as families and I hold a recent Paediatric First Aid Certificate an a clean driving licence.
I started my path an au-pair with 2 bilingual families in Holland in 1999 before returning to teaching.
In summer 2006 I was working as a home school teacher for a family from Trinidad and Tobago in France. I was helping a mum of 3 organizing home schooling chores for a boy(8) and a girl(5) as well as with occasional proxy parenting of a 3 month old baby boy while travelling.
I also worked with an Austrian family in St Tropez, teaching an 18 month old boy German in 2007.
I speak excellent German, Croatian, Serbian, French and some Italian.
In my student years I have also worked with the disabled children.
I love travelling, exploring, playing board games, cycling, volleyball and hiking and I love cooking with the kids. When I am not working with children I am teaching adults, work in tourism or travel the world as a pet-sitter.
I would really enjoy spending a year or two in a friendly environment helping your family to educate your children. I am easy going and curious to learn about your culture as well.
I am sure we'll have a lot of fun together learning new things.
