| Hi! My name is Caitlin, and I have had a wide range of experiences in caring for children and also the elderly. One of my favorite jobs was caring for a four year old girl (who had Down's Syndrome) and her younger sister, who was 2 years old. This job often included their 4 older siblings, too. After this job, I worked as a per diem caregiver (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts) in a 60-person assisted living facility, where my tasks included helping residents shower, dress, etc. I have had First Aid and CPR training and also hold federal and state clearances for fingerprinting and background checks. Currently, I am an English Education major and would like to pursue ESL certification in order to potentially teach overseas. In my spare time, I teach Sunday School at my church for grades 3-6 and tutor at my school's Writing Center. I love being exposed to new situations where I can meet new people and learn about the things in which they are interested. Besides caring for people, some of the things that I currently enjoy are going for walks with the family's Golden Retriever, listening to music, eating sushi, hanging out with my awesome sister and brothers, getting people involved with cultural events on campus, reading antique books, learning about education in America and other countries, and browsing through consignment shops.
I hope to meet you and your children soon! |
