| I am a Canadian citizen, born in Quebec, which is a French-speaking Canadian province. I am presently travelling here in Australia for the next several months, with the intention of working, while at the same time, learning more about Australia’s cultural diversity. I would also like to have the opportunity to practice speaking English, which is my second language. Moreover, I definitely appreciate the experience of working and living abroad.
Since I have graduated from university, in addition to my summer school jobs (day care camp counsellor), I have worked four years as a certified occupational therapist. The first two years, I worked in a psychiatric hospital and for the last two years, in a rehabilitation center for physically disabled people (adults and children), not only helping people to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function, thus helping clients have independent, productive and satisfying lives.
In Australia, I want to work with children because it is the better way to practice english and living australian life! I am willing to work with children presenting special needs if necessary.
Working by myself or as part of a team, I welcome challenges and am always willing to assume additional responsibility. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and I’m certain that I possess the essential qualities needed to work within your family! Regards! |
