Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for an honest, fun, energetic person who loves children to help us with our four active boys of 4, 6, 8 and 10 years for January and February 2010. Your main duties would be to help with general housework and to help look after the boys. The household duties include cleaning, tidying, washing, ironing, cooking, washing up etc. Help with the boys includes collecting and dropping off the boys at school (a 5-10 minute walk away), helping them with their homework, playing with them, occasional babysitting etc. We are both doctors and our jobs involve some travel. We are a fun loving, active, busy family! We returned to the UK two years ago after living in Africa, and the boys enjoy lots of activities and open spaces. At weekends and in the holidays we like to get out and explore the countryside, cycling, walking, camping, and climbing. We are Christians and attend an evangelical church, but you don't have to share our beliefs.

Dear Au Pair, We are looking for a fun-loving, kind, active person who loves children to help our family from December to February after our current au pair leaves. We are a busy, active family who enjoys the outdoors and all sorts of activities. Life in our household can be loud, boisterous, adventurous, hard work, but not dull! We are both doctors, and our jobs require some travel. We are looking for an honest, responsible person to help with the house and children. You will fit in well if you are easy-going, flexible, hard-working, sensible, adventurous and have a sense of humour! Our boys are energetic and boisterous, but get on well together (most of the time!) and enjoy meeting people and all sorts of activities and games. We appreciate all the help you give us, and will enjoy your gifts and personality that you would bring to our family. We are committed Christians and have worked in Africa for 4 years. We understand about different cultures and backgrounds and would try hard to make you feel at home with us. We would encourage you to make friends and have your own social life. We appreciate that we are a large family and sometimes the work can be repetative (washing is washing and there is plenty of it!) but we value your contribution and would try to make sure you enjoy your time with our family.
