Discover Australia with us! We are a Scottish family who moved to Melbourne from Glasgow last year and we love life in Oz! We are looking for our 7th Au Pair now after six great Au Pair experiences. We are looking for someone who will be part of the family and join in life with us. Mum was an Au Pair herself for a year after she graduated from university so we understand what it's like to be you!

We are a happy household, dad is a management consultant working in the city, mum works in finance for a brand name food company.

Our oldest daughter is a lovely, caring and sensitive person. A great student, she loves school and is quite artistic. She enjoys painting, drawing and making things. She loves her bike and playing outside and is very friendly. Her main sport is tennis but she'll have a go at most things.

Our younger daughter is full of mischief and great fun, she will make you laugh - a lot! She attends nursery 2 days a week. They both love singing songs, reading books and pretending. Making dens is a big thing and you will often them hiding under a sheet or in a cosy space with their dolls.

We all love being outdoors which is why we moved to Australia, we wanted to enjoy the weather, life by the coast and being outdoors a lot more than we could in the UK. Its exciting for us discovering lots of new places, things to do and new experiences here in Australia and we'd like you to discover them with us.

House rules are pretty relaxed, keep the place tidy, be kind to the environment, so recycle and turn lights and taps off and that's about it. Bedtime for the girls is 7:30pm and 8:00pm.

We all love days out and trips to new places, recent favourites have been the Aquarium, Melbourne Zoo discovering new beaches and meeting new friends in Australia. The city is great too, there's so much going on you're never stuck for ideas to fill the weekends. There's lots to do around the coast where we live and if you are interested in cycling, spending time on the beach, or enjoying city life then you will be spoiled for choice.

Come and join in with the family, muck in generally around the house, have fun, get out and about, explore Melbourne, make friends and have fun with us and our girls. We are looking for our 7th Au Pair to start in January 2014 after six great Au Pair experiences. We are looking for a "big sister" to provide childcare and help around the house for two girls aged 8 and 3.

Working hours will be flexible but generally you will work Monday to Friday 7:00am until 6:00pm. Twice a month, you will babysit while mum and dad have a "date night." Public holidays, 2 weeks paid leave per year when mum and dad are on leave and evenings and weekends are your free time to do your own thing.

Although your hours are Monday to Friday, our 8 year old goes to school and our 3 year old goes to nursery two days during the week. So you do have time off during the day.

Your duties will include: Helping get the girls get ready for their day at school and nursery or Gymbaroo's, escorting the older girl to and from school, caring for the younger girl during the day or taking her to nursery, preparing meals and light house work related to the girls, for example, children's lunch and dinner, children's laundry, tidying bedrooms and playroom. You will be required to play with and entertain the girls, organising activities and fun things for them to do. You would not be required to do bedtime in the evenings.

In return you would enjoy living walking distance from the beach, in a great little beach town with lots of activities close by. The train takes 20 mins to the centre of Melbourne or you can cycle in about 35 mins along the coastal cycle path to the city. Melbourne is considered one of the best places to live in the world. Great food, shopping, laneways and cafe culture, nightlife, international sporting events, outdoor lifestyle, great weather and all in one of the safest and friendliest cities in the world.

We consider our Au Pair as part of the family, we'd love for you to join us on family day's out, trips down the coast and out to local attractions if you choose to come with us. We'd be delighted to include you in these things as part of our family.
