Dear Host Family,

My name is Noémie, I am 21 and I live in Namps-au-Mont, next to Amiens, in Picardie. During the week I live alone in my apartment because it is easier for to go at University. I have two little brothers, Gaëtan is 16 and Alexandre is 13. My mother, Pascale, is 45 and she works in a school; my father, Frederic, is 44 and he is military. I have two cats, Daft-Punk and Babychou, they are so cute. I have a great family with lot of uncles, aunts, cousins and we all live in the same village. I have a very close relationship with my family and all my family support me in my project, because they know that I love taking care of children, travel and they understand that I want to ameliorate my english. They think it will be a good experience for me and a great opportunity. I study at University I have a university degree in Psychology. Later, I would be child psychologist or psychologist in human resources. I really love what I learn at university. I want to be an au pair because I love children, take care of them and I dream to go in UK. Indeed for one summer could do what I love: to take care of children, in a country that makes me dream. I really want to share the life of an english family as a member of the family and discover a new culture. Since I was little I love taking care of children. Indeed, I often took care of my brother and my cousins. When I was 18, I took care of two little girls, Romane (9) and Prisca(5), some of the responsabilities I had were to prepare the meal, to go at school, to plan activities, for example tennis in the garden or biking. The girls were very dynamic. In August 2010, I was in charge of two boys, Maxence (4 ½) and Amaury (1 1/2), during their holidays with their parents. Together, we went to the beach to pick crabs, make sand castles or play ball. It was really funny. After the fun I gave a bath and put the kids to bed. It was really a good experience. I also took care of Maya (4) and Violette (2), two little girls, every Wednesday morning while their mother worked. With Maya and Violette, we went in the garden for to play with slides and swings. In addition of babysitting, sometimes I take care of my cousine, Manon, since she was born. She calls me “Tata Mie”, it is too funny. Finally, since September 2011, I work in a school with children aged 9 to 14 and other 14 to 18. I help them work and I am monitoring. It’s a good job because I love children. It’s always a real pleasure for me when I taking care of children. Finally, about me. I am a serious, responsible and mature person. I am dynamic and my friends say I am funny. I like sport and I think it’s very important; I practice fitness at university, I like to run, go swimming and I love skiing since I was 3 years. Then, I like spend time with my friend, go to shopping, go to the cinema, and go to dancing… In fact I like to do a lot of activities, I am open-minded and I hope to share that with my future host family. After my au pair experience, I hope to come back with many happy memories and speak English fluently for return at university. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. Chère famille d'accueil,

Je m'appelle Noémie, j'ai 21 ans et je vis en Picardie.

Je suis actuellement étudiante en master 1 de psychologie à l'université picardie Jules Verne.

Je suis à la recherche d'une famille pour cet été ou pour la période que vous voulez (je suis disponible jusqu'en septembre).

Je suis une personne sérieuse, dynamique, motivée, sportive et rigolote :) je serais ravie de faire plus ample connaissance par skype ou email si mon profil vous intéresse.

Concernant mon expérience :

Durant 2 années j'ai occupé le poste d'assistante d'éducation en collège et lycée, j'avais pour rôle l'encadrement de l'étude, l'aide aux devoirs, la surveillance de dortoirs. C'est un métier qui me plait beaucoup car j'adore le contact avec les élèves, j'envisage d'ailleurs de devenir conseillère principale d'éducation.

En Octobre 2012, je suis parti pour une durée d'1 mois aux ETATS-UNIS, comme jeune fille au pair, ainsi je m'occupais de deux petites filles de 6 et 11 ans. J'avais pour tâches principales, le levée, le départ à l'école, la conduite aux diverses activités, le repas et le couché. Ce fût une experience très enrichissante et très bénéfique humainement.

Enfin, j'ai de nombreuses références en matières de baby sitting (je serais très heureuse d'en parler avec vous). Actuellement je suis la baby sitter attitrée de 3 enfants, dont je m'occupe chaque soirs pendant 3H à la sortie de l'école.
