I am currently a student at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, California, where I study Environmental Sciences, I will be 19 this May and have been working in childcare since I was 11 years old. I love taking care of children and traveling so becoming an Au Pair seemed like a natural choice for a summer job. I would love to spend the summer with your family in a new country. I am a hardworking and responsible individual which applies to all aspects of my life, school and social. I very much enjoy reading and music. I play a bit of the piano and am a disc jockey at the university's radio station. I have spoken english my whole life and have studied three years of french. I want to be an Au Pair because I feel like it would not only be a beneficial and learning experience to me, but also to the family. When visiting a new place it is very difficult to really understand and appreciate the culture from a tourist's point of view. By being an Au Pair I get the rare opportunity to not only see a new place but to experience it with a family who lives there, as well as a chance to work! I also can bring a new perspective, culture and maybe even language to the family and children I will work for.
