Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Welcome to our family! We are excited to have you join us and hope your time in America will be a wonderful experience for all of us.
We are the Rao family and live in Seattle area. My name is Vinayak, or Vin, and my wife is Asha. We have two boys, Arish, whom we call Ari, and Avin, whom we call Avi.
Ari is six and will turn seven in November. He will be attending first grade and enjoys reading, math, chess, swimming, and playing outside. He is bright, energetic, sensitive, and affectionate.
Avi is almost three and will turn three in October. He attends preschool and is a happy, playful, and talkative child who enjoys music, singing, toys, and outdoor activities.
Asha works for a technology company, and I run my own investment firm. Both children attend school or preschool during the week. Your responsibilities will mainly include helping with morning and evening routines, preparing simple meals and snacks, assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups, supporting the children’s activities, and keeping their rooms and play areas organized. You will have personal time while the children are at school.
We currently have two au pairs: Dilnaz from Kazakhstan and Darina from Russia. We are looking for a replacement for Darina, who will soon be completing her au pair program. Dilnaz will continue to be part of our family and can help you learn the children’s routines and personalities.
We value honesty, kindness, open communication, and mutual respect. Our ideal au pair is someone who genuinely enjoys children and will care for Ari and Avi with warmth, patience, and responsibility.
We enjoy spending weekends together, visiting parks, exploring the Seattle area, taking day trips, and going out for brunch or lunch. You will often be welcome to join us.
We look forward to welcoming you and will do our best to make you feel comfortable, supported, and part of our family.
Warmly,
The Rao Family
