Our family includes host parents Nicole and Matt, grandmother Beata, and 3 children Theodore (6), Ellana (4) and Lily (1). We also have pets as mentioned in the job description.

Seeking AuPair to help with care for our three children who will be ages 6, 4, and 1 at expected time of arrival. Work duties include caring for children and include: supervising play, arranging age appropriate activities, preparing meals, assisting with bathing/grooming, driving children to/from school and activities, assisting with homework, keeping children's room and play areas tidy, and children’s laundry. Schedule is variable with most scheduled work time on Tuesday-Friday with some Monday and weekend work time. Aupair has private bedroom with shared bathroom (bathroom is shared with children's grandmother whom also lives with us). In addition to work duties, aupair is expected to contribute to keeping shared spaces clean and tidy along with other members of the household. We live on 5 acres in a smaller community near Des Moines, which is the largest city in Iowa. Our children attend school in Des Moines. We have two adult dogs, a chicken coop with hens, and two aquariums (one with a gecko and the other with fish). We get all 4 seasons in Iowa with hot summers and cold/snowy winters. Our family enjoys spending time outside, sports, cooking, traveling, and exploring the restaurants and activities local to us. Our current aupair completes her time in July so we are hoping to have someone arrive before she leaves to have some overlap. She can then help the new aupair learn the duties around the home and help connect her with the aupair community in the Des Moines area. We would love another Spanish speaker but are open to welcoming anyone whom would be a good fit for our family! We look forward to meeting our new aupair!
