Family's Introduction to Au Pair
We’re the Wolf Family—an energetic, close-knit family of five living life to the fullest! There’s John (dad), Joelle (mom), and our three amazing kids: Jack (6), James (5), and Josephine (3).
Our home is also full of life with two playful whippets who love to run and compete, and a cheerful flock of chickens our boys love to care for and cuddle.
As a family, we enjoy cycling, gardening, and weekend adventures—whether that means traveling for dog sports or heading out on a short getaway.
We had such a wonderful experience with our first au pair that we’re excited to welcome another into our home! We’re looking for someone who’s fun, active, and kind—like an older sister to our kids. We want you to feel truly welcome in both our home and our community, and we’ll do everything we can to help you feel at home here.
We’re excited to learn about your culture and traditions and can’t wait to share ours with you in return. We also look forward to bringing you along on family trips, like visiting Crater Lake and other beautiful spots in our region.
John works from home, and Joelle is the primary caregiver for our three little ones. Having another adult around would be a huge help for her—someone to lend a hand and offer support so she has a bit more time to enjoy her hobbies like Jiu-Jitsu, gardening, and dog racing.
If you’re someone who loves kids, enjoys being active, and is looking to become part of a loving, lively family—we’d love to hear from you. We can’t wait to meet you!
Job Description
Hello!
We’re the Wolf Family—a fun-loving, active family of five living in the Pacific Northwest. Our household includes John (dad), Joelle (mom), and our three wonderful children: Jack (6), James (5), and Josephine (3). With one on the way! We also share our home with two energetic whippets who compete in dog sports and a flock of friendly backyard chickens.
We’re excited to welcome a new au pair into our family! After a fantastic experience with our first au pair, we’re looking for someone kind, enthusiastic, and dependable—like an older sister to our kids—who will become part of our daily life and family adventures.
What We're Looking For:
We’re seeking an au pair who is:
Warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
Responsible, safety-conscious, and proactive in helping out
Energetic and happy to engage in play, both indoors and out
Open-minded and excited to share and learn about different cultures
Flexible and willing to support our family’s rhythm and needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide loving, hands-on care for our children, especially during daytime hours
Help with morning routines (getting dressed, breakfast, packing snacks)
Organize creative play, reading, games, and outdoor activities
Support nap times and quiet rest periods for our youngest
Assist with light household tasks related to the children (e.g., tidying up play areas, folding kids' laundry, helping with lunches)
Occasionally watch the children while mom steps out or runs errands
Join us on family outings and trips when possible
Your Role in Our Family:
Joelle is home full-time with the children, and John works remotely in and out of the home. Having an au pair offers much-needed support and companionship for Joelle during the day. With your help, she’ll be able to carve out time for her personal interests like Jiu-Jitsu, gardening, and dog racing.
We want our au pair to feel truly welcomed—not just as a helper, but as a valued member of the family. We’ll include you in our activities, meals, and trips whenever you'd like to join. We’re also excited to learn about your culture and share ours in return.
We live in a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of parks, trails, and community events. We’ll help you get to know the area, make friends, and explore everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer—including trips to places like Crater Lake.
We Offer:
A private bedroom in our comfortable family home
Full room and board
Weekly stipend per the U.S. au pair program guidelines
Paid time off and holidays
Use of a bicycle or car (for experienced drivers only and with some restriction)
Support enrolling in required classes or language programs
Inclusion in family vacations and weekend adventures
Ideal Start Date:
We’re flexible, but would love for our new au pair to join us in the coming month.
