Family's Introduction to Au Pair
We are so excited to begin our search for a Greek-speaking Au Pair to join our busy, growing family. We are a professional and active household with three wonderful children—our energetic 6-year-old, our inquisitive 4-year-old, and our newest addition, our bubbly newborn.
About Us
We are a family that values education, hard work, kindness, mutual respect and celebrating our multinational heritage. I manage a real estate portfolio and my wife is a senior executive, which keeps our days full, but our priority is always creating a grounded and loving home for our kids. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable with us and who can bring the Greek language and culture as part of our daily life.
Our Home Life
We live in a beautiful home in Oregon, and you will have your own private space to ensure you have plenty of rest and privacy. Our two older children are full of life—they love playing outdoors, arts and crafts, and stories among other things. As we navigate life with a newborn, we are looking for a teammate who can jump in with a positive "can-do" attitude, whether that’s helping the 6-year-old with her Greek writing, helping the 4-year old with his alphabet or conversing with the baby in Greek while we get the others ready for bed.
What We Are Looking For
Our main goal is Greek Immersion. We want our children to speak, read, write and think in Greek to be truly bilingual like their mother. We are looking for someone who:
• Is native in Greek and passionate about sharing the culture.
• Is highly organized and "switched on" (with three kids, there is never a dull moment!).
• Loves the outdoors and active play.
• Is responsible, especially with infant care experience.
What We Offer
In return, we offer a very supportive and generous environment. We treat each other and others with the utmost respect. You will have a competitive stipend, a car to drive, and plenty of opportunities to explore the area. We also travel often and would love for you to join us on our adventures (including trips back to Greece!).
We are looking for someone proactive who can see a need and fill it, and in return, we will make sure you feel like a truly appreciated member of our household.
If you think you are a good fit, we would love to hop on a video call and meet you!

The Fallow Petropaki Family
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Childcare & Greek Immersion
• Language Lead: Engage with all three children exclusively in Greek. Read Greek books, sing songs, and facilitate age-appropriate language lessons.
• The "Big Kids" (6 & 4): Coordinate after-school snacks, help with homework (specifically Greek school assignments), and drive them to local activities or parks.
• The Newborn: Assist with basic infant care (diapering, soothing, and nap schedules) in coordination with the parents.
• Creative Play: Organize screen-free activities, outdoor play, and arts and crafts that stimulate development.
2. Daily Operations
• Meal Prep: Prepare healthy, simple lunches and snacks for the children (Greek Mediterranean recipes are a plus!).
• Light Tidying: Maintain a clean "kid zone," including toy organization and the children’s laundry.
• Morning/Evening Routine: Assist with the "school run" in the afternoon and the bath/bedtime routine in the evening as scheduled.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Native Greek Speaker: Exceptional command of the Greek language is non-negotiable.
• Experience: Proven experience with infants and multiple children (nanny, teaching, or prior au pair roles).
• Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean record (car provided for work use).
• Disposition: High energy, patient, and proactive. We value someone who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in taking care of those who take care of our family.
• Private Accommodations: A beautiful, private bedroom and bathroom.
• Competitive Stipend: $300 per week, significantly above the standard program minimum.
• Travel Opportunities: You will join our family on vacations (including trips to Greece) with all expenses covered.
• Transportation: Access to a vehicle for personal use during off-hours.
• Time Off: Two full days off per week plus 2 weeks of paid vacation per year.
• Cultural Connection: A welcoming family environment where your culture and language are celebrated daily.
